Board Will Offer Strategic Guidance and Technical Expertise for Next Stage of Data Protection Innovation

Waltham, Mass. - October 14, 2015Digital Guardian, the only endpoint security platform purpose built to stop data theft, today announced the founding members of itsTechnical Advisory Board. Comprised of distinguished information security executives with vast experience in both the public and private sectors, the Technical Advisory Board will provide Digital Guardian with insights, recommendations and guidance for its strategic vision.

Digital Guardian has experienced significant growth and momentum since installing security industry veteran Ken Levine as CEO in 2014, including 30% YoY growth from 2013 to 2014, the addition of over 100 new employees and the acquisitions of Armor5, a Gartner Cool Vendor in cloud data protection, Code Green Networks, a Network, Cloud and Discovery DLP company, and Savant Protection, a provider of advanced application whitelisting solutions.

Jane Holl Lute, Chief Executive Officer, Center for Internet Security

Jane Holl Lute currently serves as chief executive officer of the Center for Internet Security (CIS), an operating not-for-profit organization that serves as home of the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) providing cybersecurity services for state, local, tribal, and territorial governments. CIS also administers the Critical Security Controls – the set of measures internationally recognized as the foundation for best practice in cyber security hygiene. Lute has previously served as served as Deputy Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and as Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN). She also served on the National Security Council staff under both President George H.W. Bush and President William Jefferson Clinton.

When describing why she joined the Digital Guardian Technical Advisory Board, Jane Holl Lute offered the following: “Digital Guardian seeks to stay at the leading edge of protection against data loss, by offering up to date, innovative solutions that can be tailored to clients’ needs. I hope to share insights from my national and international security experience over three decades to help them continue to innovate and lead.”

Dan Geer, Chief Information Security Officer at In-Q-Tel

An entrepreneur, author, scientist, consultant, teacher, and architect, Dr. Daniel Geer is Chief Information Security Officer at In-Q-Tel. Previously, Geer served as CTO of @stake, a leading digital security consulting firm. He is a widely noted author in scientific journals and the technology press, and has co-authored several books on risk management and information security.

Hem Pant, Chief Information Security Officer, Commercial Banking, ING

Pant is an experienced Information Security and Risk Management professional, with more than 15 years in financial services and consulting. At ING, he enables senior business leaders around the globe to tackle risk through security consulting services and technologies.

“I decided to join the Digital Guardian Technical Advisory Board as I, a practitioner of Information Security controls and a user of Digital Guardian, understand the potential the tool has and can provide very constructive feedback.
