Digital Guardian Releases Advanced Threat Protection as a Managed Security Program

Waltham, Mass. - March 01, 2016 – Digital Guardian, a next generation data protection platform purpose built to stop data theft, today announced that it has released its Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) solution as a Managed Security Program. ATP as a Managed Security Program identifies and protects against advanced cyber attacks introduced to enterprises at the endpoint.

Due to the acute talent shortage in cybersecurity and the growing complexity of deploying and managing sophisticated data protection technologies and programs, Digital Guardian’s Managed Security Program has been rapidly expanding. It grew 102% year over year in 2015, and is currently hosting more than 90 customers and has almost 300,000 endpoints under management for clients ranging from mid-market size through the Fortune 100. With this momentum, Digital Guardian has expanded its Managed Security Program to include Advanced Threat Protection for customers looking to receive protection from external attacks posed by cybercriminals and other threat actors.

The Advanced Threat Protection for Managed Security Program is bolstered by its new Advanced Threat Analysis Center, or ATAC, which combines security researchers and analysts’ expertise and a new centralized threat intelligence management system. This enables Digital Guardian to detect and remediate threats faster and more efficiently for customers. With the threat intelligence management system and continuous endpoint monitoring, customers can expect the highest level of protection from threats including polymorphic malware, zero-day attacks, advanced persistent threats (APTs), ransomware and attacks involving sophisticated data theft methods.

The Digital Guardian ATAC is led by infosecurity expert Tim Bandos, who is the senior director of cybersecurity. Bandos joined Digital Guardian from DuPont, where he previously led its Incident Response & Threat Intelligence team and was in charge of protecting DuPont’s most sensitive intellectual property from nation-state attackers and advanced threat actors. With Bandos at the helm, his team has been creating high fidelity endpoint detection capabilities to provide detailed attack analysis patterns and appropriate mitigation strategies.
