Company to Demonstrate Enhanced Integration with Microsoft Information Protection at the Microsoft Ignite 2018

ORLANDO, Florida – September 25, 2018 – Digital Guardian (DG) today announced it will be demonstrating its enhanced integration with Microsoft Information Protection during Microsoft Ignite 2018, which takes place September 24-28, 2018 at the Orange County Convention Center and Hyatt Regency Orlando. Earlier this year, Microsoft announced the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, where members can create more integrated solutions for customers that provide greater protection and detect attacks more quickly.

Digital Guardian has been a standing member of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association and has been working diligently to strengthen its integration capabilities with Microsoft Azure Information Protection to significantly enhance data loss prevention capabilities that safeguard organizations’ most sensitive data.

“Digital Guardian has continued to leverage the Microsoft Information Protection SDK to extend file protection across all supported Windows, macOS and Linux platforms,” said Tony Themelis, vice president, product management, Digital Guardian. “We also support automated DLP capabilities for Microsoft Azure Information Protection Labeling for Office and Acrobat applications. This functionality will become generally available for our customers in 2019.”

Ryan McGee, Director, Microsoft Security Marketing at Microsoft Corp. said, “At RSA 2018 we announced a public preview of the Microsoft Information Protection SDK (MIP), which enables members of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association to further integrate their security products’ capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem. We are pleased to see Digital Guardian’s commitment to the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association and in helping to ensure our mutual customers benefit from high levels of data protection.”

Digital Guardian Sessions at Microsoft Ignite 2018

Using the Microsoft Information Protection SDK, Digital Guardian will be demonstrating how mutual Microsoft and Digital Guardian customers can extend their current DLP policies to automatically apply AIP controls in two sessions. The combination of Microsoft’s AIP and Digital Guardian’s rich visibility into file classification and movement will enable organizations to securely collaborate both internally and with outside third parties while protecting files from inappropriate egress and unsanctioned usage.
