The steady stream of recent cyber-attacks on Premera, Anthem, Home Depot, JPMC, Target, Apple, CENTCOM, and many others continues to demonstrate how vulnerable enterprises are to economic and political harm from persistent and aggressive actors operating in cyber space. In turn, these breaches foment a crisis in confidence that our leaders in both the private and public sectors are powerless to stop. According to the Pew Research Center, public confidence in government continues to decline with every revelation that another institution upon which we rely to conduct commerce and run our government has been compromised.
Unfortunately, we currently exist within an asymmetric battlefield skewed so much towards offensive advantage that it is virtually impossible for companies and government entities to stay ahead of these unprecedented threats. A new approach to defend ourselves going forward is needed, and Digital Guardian has proven ideas on how federal agencies can protect systems and sensitive information from sophisticated online attackers. We believe, as does the General Accounting Office (GAO), that the federal government can do more toward achieving a strong and secure digital backbone.
Thus, Digital Guardian is excited to be a sponsor at the National Insider Threat Symposium & Expo where we look forward to sharing our advice and counsel alongside key security personnel from the DIA, NIST, FBI, DoD, and more. Join us on Tuesday, March 31 at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory Kossikoff Center in Laurel, MD to learn about how state and federal government agencies can better protect their data from insider threats.
