President and Chief Executive Officer
Mo brings more than twenty five years of global experience in technology to Digital Guardian, with a specific focus in security, product innovation and operations in both publicly traded and private corporations.
Prior to joining Digital Guardian as CEO, Mo Rosen was the general manager of the cybersecurity business unit at CA Technologies. While at CA, Mo was a key member of the team that acquired Veracode for $612M which was sold to Thoma Bravo just 16 months later for $965M. Mo joined CA in August 2015 after serving as Chief Operating Officer at Xceedium, a company acquired by CA in 2015, which developed privileged access management software. He previously founded Zero-G, Inc., a venture-management firm that invested in early-stage technology companies. Beforehand, Mo served as senior vice president of corporate development and strategy at NetSec. Mo was also senior vice president of marketing and business development at FTP Software, Inc. He has held executive-level positions at MCI, Computer Associates, and Legent Corporation. Mo holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois.
Chief Strategy Officer & Chief Marketing Officer
Connie leads the corporate strategy to ensure Digital Guardian’s offerings meet ever-evolving market needs and support the continued growth of the business. In addition Connie leads all aspects of the company’s global marketing efforts including strategy, messaging and positioning, brand development, demand generation, digital marketing, channel marketing, website messaging, social media strategy, and analyst and public relations.
Prior to joining Digital Guardian in 2013, Connie was Vice President of Marketing at Veracode. Applying contemporary tactics and an agile marketing approach, she helped position Veracode as the industry leader in application security. She was also responsible for the inside sales and sales operations functions, which drove a tight partnership between the sales and marketing teams.
Connie is a technology startup pro, having spent the previous 12 years in executive management roles at a series of early- and late-stage companies in Greater Boston. She was Chief Revenue Officer at search-marketing startup WordStream, and co-founded ManageContacts.com and CompareTutors.com. Earlier in her career, she served as CEO of Consumer Finance Advisor, Vice President of Client Services at Optas (acquired by Dendrite International), and Vice President of Professional Services at Wheelhouse.
Connie has a business degree from Laurentian University in Ontario, Canada, where she was the recipient of the Terry Fox Humanitarian Award. She’s also a proud member of the MIT extended family, having served as a mentor for the MIT Venture Mentoring Service.
Chief Financial Officer, Digital Guardian
Susan brings more than 20 years of experience with private-equity-backed businesses, Wall Street, and business strategy to Digital Guardian.
With a meticulous eye and a scrupulous approach to technology, Susan has proven skilled at streamlining businesses to maximize efficiency, and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial, legal and administrative operations.
Prior to joining Digital Guardian, Susan was the CFO and COO at Telestream, a provider of digital media tools and workflow solutions. Before that, she held CFO and finance roles at business data SaaS provider Avention, energy technology firm Aspen Aerogels, and IT management software company Novell. She holds a bachelor of arts in Applied Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Chief Technology Officer & SVP of Engineering
An experienced senior technology engineering executive and advisor, Debra provides the technical vision and strategic direction for product innovation while overseeing engineering strategy for the Digital Guardian Data Protection Platform. Debra’s roles also oversees the engineering function including product development, quality assurance, and sustaining engineering operations.
Debra has held technical, strategic, operational, and managerial leadership roles over her 25+ year career. An expert in acquisition-focused technology evaluation and technical due diligence, prior to joining Digital Guardian, Debra was a Distinguished Engineer and SVP, Merger and Acquisition Strategy at CA Technologies, where she was responsible for identifying opportunities within emerging technologies, markets, and products. Debra led and managed 20 acquisitions totaling in an aggregate $3B+, managed a globally distributed team of more than 500, and provided consultation to executive leaders on advances in technology, engineering strategy, and domain expertise. In 2006, Debra was named a Distinguished Engineer, a role that recognizes the highest level of technical expertise with the greater CA Technologies community.
Debra holds 18 patents in IT management and security disciplines and serves on several technical advisory boards. She holds a bachelor of arts in economics and applied mathematics from Boston University.
Senior Vice President, Product Management
Ben leads the product strategy for all of Digital Guardian’s product lines and works closely with sales, product marketing and field engineering on go to market strategy and product lifecycle management.
Ben’s entire 26+ year career has been dedicated to building world class enterprise software products. Prior to joining Digital Guardian, Ben was a Vice President of Product Management at McAfee responsible for Data Protection and Platform technologies. Previous to McAfee, Ben has served in technical and business leadership roles at OpenText, BMC and MicroFocus, improving financial metrics, customer satisfaction and Industry Analyst rankings at each company.
Senior Vice President, Global Professional Services
Frank leads the professional services organization and the managed service cloud operations team for Digital Guardian. His departments implement and maintain Digital Guardian customers’ on-premises and hosted environments globally. Together, with his highly skilled team of engineers, he delivers both data loss prevention services and endpoint detection and response capabilities while meeting a wide variety of technological and business threat mitigation challenges.
As the Senior Vice President of Global Professional Services, his responsibilities include the design and implementation of enterprise level solutions and application integrations, managing a skilled Professional Services consulting organization, and servicing global fortune 2000 customers with multi-million dollar revenue streams. Frank possesses strong skills in identifying appropriate technologies, designing cost effective solutions, converting business goals into technology requirements, and managing highly trained engineering professionals by guiding them into achieving the required business objectives in a profitable manner. With more than 20 years of experience in the Information System Technology and Engineering field, Frank’s experience continues to be pivotal to Digital Guardian’s success in building and maintaining a world class DLP/EDR managed services program.
Prior to joining Digital Guardian, Frank held positions at TD Ameritrade, Prudential, Datek Online and MarketAxess Corporation. Frank holds a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickenson University.
Senior Vice President, Global Sales
James has more than 20 years of successful enterprise sales experience and is in charge of all global sales and field operations for Digital Guardian.
As Senior Vice President of Global Sales, James’s operational responsibilities include all field sales and pre-sales functions. In this role, James is responsible for expanding market share, establishing best practices for go to market growth, and empowering the customer-facing revenue engine that is Field Sales.
Previously James was the Vice President of Sales, North America where he built a highly successful team and strategy capable of delivering the unique capability and business value of the Digital Guardian solution. The North American territory grew more than 30% year over year, underscored by significant success in capturing new logos and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Before leading the North American sales team, James held the Director, Southeast sales role, where he took a greenfield territory and established the top producing Digital Guardian sales region in the world, with growth of over 400% in two years.
Prior to Digital Guardian, James held sales executive positions at BT Global Services, IBM, Network General, Starent Networks, and 3Com Corporation.
Senior Vice President of Technical Operations
Pete brings over 20 years of startup experience to Digital Guardian.
He has a proven track record of building outstanding, global customer-facing technical teams by combining strategic vision with tactical execution. He also has a wealth of experience in pre-sales, post-sales, professional services, and channel enablement. His experience in scaling global organizations to support high growth has led directly to several successful exit strategies in both IPOs and acquisitions.
Prior to Digital Guardian, Pete was an integral part of Lightbridge, which had a successful IPO. Next up was NaviSite, where he held various leadership positions, helped grow revenue from zero to $100 million, and played a role in one of the most successful IPOs in Massachusetts history. From there, Pete went to Orbograph, where he established the U.S. division and grew earnings by 5x in four years. Most recently, he worked for Passlogix, which was acquired by Oracle.
Jan van Vliet
Vice President and General Manager, EMEA
Jan is a seasoned senior executive with a proven track record of success in both emerging and mature markets. He is responsible for expanding Digital Guardian’s business and market share throughout EMEA, driving strategy and overseeing operations in both regions.
Previously, Jan served as Vice President for EMEA Emerging Markets in the Intel Security Group. He was responsible for Strategy, Business Development, Sales and Operations in Russia, the CIS, the Middle East, Turkey, Israel and Africa, a region that encompasses 85 countries. Jan successfully delivered continuous growth in market share and double-digit revenue growth every year. He tripled the Middle East Business in 5 years’ time and became market leader in Corporate IT Security. Jan joined McAfee in late 2007 from the acquisition of SafeBoot B.V., where he served as Vice President for EMEA endpoint encryption sales. Earlier in his career, Jan was a managing board member at a Dutch IT consulting company and played a key role in its successful IPO in 1999.
Jan holds a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Delft University of Technology. Currently Jan is shareholder and serves on the advisory board of Nochii Online Marketing B.V., an online marketing company in the Netherlands.
