With another year of Microsoft Ignite underway, we’d be remiss if we didn’t take a moment to look back on how Digital Guardian has worked over the years to strengthen our integration with Microsoft.
Since 2018, Digital Guardian has been pleased to be a standing member of Microsoft's Intelligent Security Association, a group of independent software vendors whose security products integrate with Microsoft to extend their solution capabilities. The goal of MISA, since its inception, has been to help users better defend against threats, through protection, detection, and response.
Digital Guardian, through its integration with Microsoft’s Azure Information Protection (AIP), helps enrich Microsoft’s data loss prevention capabilities.
With Microsoft’s Information Protection (MIP) SDK, both Microsoft and Digital Guardian customers can extend their data protection policy to automatically label and protect files. Whether it's via an outbound email, an upload or download to/from the cloud, or an attempt to copy files to external storage, by combining the two solutions, organizations can better safeguard their files from data loss.
Recent advances in Digital Guardian's Appliance integration allow DG customers to inspect and verify MIP labeled and encrypted documents before emails leave an organization. Another new functionality, review content vs. label, allows customers to compare the content, sender and destination of an emailed document with MIP labels and controls applied to it.
To that end, we’re thrilled to participate in MS Ignite, Microsoft’s annual gathering of technology leaders and practitioners this week at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, Florida.
Join Digital Guardian’s Vice President of Product Management Chris Leffel on Tuesday, at 3:40 p.m. EST, at the Microsoft Showcase, Theater 4, for a session in which he'll share how Microsoft Information Protection solutions and Digital Guardian can help protect your sensitive data.
