Verdasys Enters Second Half of 2014 with Strong Sales Momentum
Verdasys, the leading provider of advanced data protection for endpoints for Global 2000 and mid-sized companies, reported impressive sales growth during the first six months of 2014. The company added more than 40 new customers while increasing its installed base to well over 2 million endpoints, including one of Japan’s largest automakers and a large Florida-based telecommunications company. Verdasys experienced more than 40 percent growth in its managed services business and a significant expansion of their federal business, two of several drivers contributing to a 20 percent increase in 1H bookings compared to 1H last year.
“We’re well-positioned for growth now that more security professionals realize it’s all about protecting the data from both insider and outsider threats,” said Ken Levine, president and CEO of Verdasys. “Our sustained growth is proof that we’ve hit the sweet spot with Digital Guardian and our proven endpoint agent-based approach. At this point, we’re laser-focused on strategically aligning our company to capitalize on this tremendous market opportunity.”
Coinciding with rapid sales growth at Verdasys is accelerated employee hiring. The company has grown 20 percent since March and plans to grow by more than 40 percent by year’s end. Key hires include C-level executives and new additions to the company’s sales, engineering, IT, quality assurance and marketing teams.
“In March, we committed to grow our employee base by 40 percent before year’s end, and we’re well on our way,” added Levine. “Our sales success in the first half of the year is only the beginning: we’re aggressively hiring now so that we’re well positioned to capture a significant share of a cybersecurity market that some experts believe will nearly double over the next five years to reach $120 billion.”
